Rastislav Trtik, Tatran’s coach: I am very happy with the result. We improved our performance in comparison with Saturday’sChampions League game. Сhupryna showed his amazing skills making this victory possible. To be honest I have to admit that Meshkov were a bit unlucky in some moments of the match but that is sport.
Vasja Furlan, Tatran´s centre back: We were really happy about our performance today. We did well in three most important aspects of the game. Our offensive display was smart and patient, defensive system was tough and goalkeeper Chupryna was simply outstanding. We can enjoy it only little for a while, because we need to focus on another tough Champions League´s game in Novi Sad against Vojvodina this Thursday.
Viacheslav Sadovyi, Tatran’s left back: It was a tough gametwo days after our Champions League´s clash in which we suffered a six goal loss. Our opponents appeared to be stronger than us but we analysed their play very well and mainly improved our defensive performance. We are really happy to win this important game.
SergeyBebeshko, Meshkov's coach: No one likes to lose with such a goal difference. On the other side I cannot say that we played badly today but we should have scored more goals missing so many clear chances. We tried to play 2-4 defence in the second half because we wanted to speed up the tempo.Unfortunately it led to many technical mistakes. That is why we were not able to keep up with such an opponent. I feel like players were not completely focused on this encounter considering the match on Saturday but this was a completely different story.
Simon Razgor, Meshkov’s left wing: Congratulations to Tatran on their excellent performance. Now we have to forget this match as soon as possible and do everything in order to prepare for Saturday’s Champions League´s clash in La Rioja in a right way.
